I love cycle touring.
At the moment, I own four bikes. People ask me why I need so many, but they all have a different purpose. 1. My cross-Canada bike, named Stryker. 2. Ridgie, my Scottish touring bike. 3. Marlie, my hard-tail, soon-to-be bikepacking mountain bike. 4. My single-speed / fixed-gear bike. |
Cross-Canada Cycling Trip, Vancouver - St. John's ( Summer 2007 )
This was really the trip of a lifetime for me.
After completing my bachelor in Chemical Engineering at the University of British Columbia in the summer of 2007 I cycled across Canada. The trip took three months and I biked a total of 8715 km.

Limes Cycle Route, The Hague - Budapest ( Summer 2011 )
The following years I continued with shorter trips: a week cycling around Slovenia and Croatia during the summer of 2010 and two weeks cycling from The Hague, Netherlands, to Budapest, Hungary, along the northern edge of the Roman Empire (also known as the Limes Route).
